Francis is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in East Asian Languages and Civilizations and will be finishing his Masters in Chinese in the fall of 2013. Francis is the third-generation of the Chinese side of his family, but didn't start studying Chinese until he came to Penn. After four years of Chinese and a summer studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing, he is eager to return to China in the near future. Besides memorizing Chinese characters, Francis can be found giving tours of the Chinese Rotunda at the Penn Museum, hand-folding huntun, and tutoring in Chinese for Penn's WPTP organization. When he is not at Penn, he enjoys planting trees, skiing, and braising.
