Drawing on insights from CSIS, the University of Pennsylvania Center for the Study of Contemporary China, and leading experts around the country, this course will explore a variety of perspectives on the domestic forces shaping China today and tomorrow. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of China's domestic politics and how that shapes the country's foreign policy and military ambitions. This program is designed exclusively for full-time Congressional staff members and will offer professional development certificates to those who successfully complete the course. Projecting Power: Beyond China's Border How does China seek to project (hard & soft) power abroad? What concerns should we have? What pitfalls should we try to avoid?
