Depending on the intern’s qualifications, other responsibilities may include assisting the leadership of the CSCC in identifying speakers and conference participants to be invited to campus for the following academic year and providing editorial assistance in the preparation of the center’s publications.

The internship pays up to 20 hours per week. Applicants must (1) provide evidence of strong writing skills; (2) indicate their interest in and knowledge about the political, legal, economic, and social factors shaping China and its role in the world today; and (3) ensure their availability to attend most of the events sponsored by the CSCC about which they will be writing summaries for the website. To apply, please email the CSCC’s associate director, Dr. Yuanyuan Zeng <yuanzeng@sas.upenn.edu> attaching a resume and briefly explaining your qualifications and fit for the position. The CSCC will follow up with interviews and continue this search until the internship is filled.
